Online UK

I should be getting my shit together and driving down to NSW now – not sitting on my arse in front of this stupid computer and writing my third blog post of the morning! This is all your fault Gwen! I hope you’re satisfied!!!

Anyway, seeing as i’ve booked my flights and stuff, and i’ll be in England in just over two weeks, i thought i’d better organise a broadband connection for my mum’s place – so i don’t feel like my lifeline’s been cut halfway up a tree! … Read more »

Flights Booked!

Well, after a phone call to my credit union, and a bit more stuffing around on the Sri Lankan Airlines web site, i’ve finally booked my flight from Singapore to London.

The whole trip, from Brisbane to London, one way, has cost me about AU$910 – which is a lot cheaper than you’ll get it from any travel agent. It’s probably about half price, in fact! It would be really easy to accidentally click on the wrong month and not notice. And getting all the digits in my credit card number right is a bit of a strain. But i’d never booked international flights on the web before, until today. And that adds a whole new layer of stress to the exercise! … Read more »

Raining in Byron Bay

I’m in Byron Bay. I hired a car yesterday in Brisbane and drove down here with my friend Danniella, who i hadn’t seen since May last year. We’ve been seeing a lot of each other recently – we seem to manage to catch up about once a year!

Danniella’s an old sea dog. She’s been working on the water for a few years now. She’s just finished a stint on a dredger somewhere in Western Australia. She’s at sea a lot, and when she’s not she gets around all over Australia, so it’s quite hard to catch up with her. Plus, of course, i’m all over the place all the time, myself. … Read more »
